Eld wrote:Very nice lists, here's some additions to the Genovese family:
Paul Rogina
"On March 24, 1999, I conducted a physical and photographic surveillance in and
around the Soho Grand Hotel (hereinafter "Hotel") located at 310 West Broadway, New York,
New York. The purpose of this and other surveillances was to observe and document meetings
held by the Acting Boss of the Genovese Family, Dom Cirillo, with persons known and
unknown. During this surveillance, Cirillo entered the Hotel at approximately 2:15 p.m.,
followed shortly thereafter by Genovese Soldier Paul Rogina."

Oh, and from what I've read( Michael Franzese's book) Sonny isn't underboss, he got demoted while he was out on parole for a brief period, as Persico feared him to be too powerful and a threat to his leadership.

Eld wrote:Anthony CONIGLIARO (born about 1938) and Alex (born 1962) are two different individuals (probably related), I seen both identified as made members.
Felix Tranghese is listed as as a soldier on page 391, can't find it online however. Also listed as a soldier is Mario Fiore along with the Scibelli brothers.

Azure9920 wrote:Yeah, a bit outdated, but I wouldn't expect a 80? year old man whose going to spend most of his life in prison to be making a comeback and get repromoted

Eld wrote:Here's a few Genovese members/associates I don't really know what to make of, perhaps you got some thoughts.

Eld wrote:Thanks for the input, thewestside. My argument with Saverio Aiello was that since the report is from 1978 he was alive at that time, although I don't know if one can draw that assumption. The report could be describing past conditions.

Joe Isgro has been in the music business for years. Sal Pisello was too. They were both with the Gambino family. A good book on the subject is Stiffed: A True Story of MCA, the Music Business, and the Mafia." It talks about various LCN families' involvement in the industry, Gambinos, Genovese, Colombo, DeCavalcante, etc.

TeeKay wrote:Where can you get more info on this book?

sean8499 wrote:this is a very impressive list. It also seems to be accurate because it gels with many of the related news stories about mob crimes and court trials. Sometimes the media and law enforecement give the imression that all LCN members are either in jail or under indictment, but this database suggests the families are relatively healthy and probably raking a ton a cash.
One notable omission from the Colombo list is Franke 'The Bug' Sciortino, a feared mobster from Brooklyn/Staten Island. Anthony Casso mentioned him in the recent book, and was clearly wary of his reputation. He actually shook down Casso's wife for a about $100k back in 2004
